Ahh.. This is actually the life. Sitting up late at night working hard on web design (although it is for work, its more like what I'd usually do for myself) and listening to music from bands that I won't ever admit to listening to (and no I wont tell you what it is, just that its teenybopper music).

I haven't feel this good in... I can't even remember. And its weird, because technically NONE of the problems I've had that depressed me have been sorted out. But I'll credit some of it to the fact that I'm buying a new domain name in the next couple days and embarking out on a HUGE project for myself, and its going to be *awesome*

But I guess I did follow Lord Tad's command. I cheered up! Never let it be said that I don't do what my friends ask of me!

So I haven't been around lately. I haven't seen either of my roommates in nearly 2 weeks now. Not that I don't like them; Ive been in a rut and very non-social. Spent some time with Dessa which cheered me up a bit, and also have been attempting to get my oldest love (Superman) to cheer me up by seeing the new movie a couple times and dedicating an entire paycheck to the first three seasons of Lois & Clark and watching them all in the span of 5 days. But, even though Superman is probably the one thing I've loved the longest even through all my other obsessions (i.e. pirates, phantom, etc) it really hasn't helped.

In fact, I think the last two weeks bubbled up last night as I was watching the last episode of Season 3, seeing as I cried for 2 and a half hours after it was over, and I shouldn't have, seeing as I've seen Season 4 and know that it gets better again.

I'm just going it on my own right now, and Im being anti social and moody, so I don't know how much I'm going to be around online and stuff, though I'll be back at the apartment (I hope). 'Cause I gotta stop basically living out of my car. Ehh, the <strike>wonderful</strike> life of Whitters

The Problem: I want this more than I want the ability to have children at the moment. This particular Ebay store ONLY takes Paypal. I have a paypal account, but it would take too long to transfer the money out of my account (due to recent security issues), and due to those same issues, I cant attach my debit card due to the fact that as soon as the charge from Blizzard comes through tomorrow I am to call the company and activate my new debit card.

So do you guys think that waiting on the money transfer from my checking account to paypal will take too long (because there's only one left), or do you think I can attach my capital one card to it (with my moms permission)

Solution: None yet -.-

Edit: Okay, after some quick work and thinking, I remembered that I don't have to have the money in my account to buy something with paypal, that it would debit my account. So I did that. ^_^

Now, I just want 2 pairs of these *bats puppy dog eyes* heehee

The Downs

So, Saturday night was my first trip to The Downs (*insert gasp*) and even though I'm not that keen on horse racing, I had a good time. This is chariot racing, not the normal horse racing like the Kentucky Derby or anything. Its a bit safer for the horses because they aren't allowed to gallop, they have to trot. Watching the races was great, but I hardly ever watched the very end of them b/c thats when the jockies have to use their crops to get the horses to trot faster.

We got there right before race 2 started so Mike and I went down to the track to see the horses coming out onto the raceway. Most people picked the horses that the people at The Downs predicted to win. I picked Horse #4 (Giambi) because it was prettiest (but also had 15-1) odds of winning, Horse #6 because I liked its jockies uniform, and Horse #8 because he was a predicted winner. I didn't bet, but I learned my lesson.

There is this thing called Trifecta betting. You bet $2 and pick the horses you think that will be 1st 2nd and 3rd. If they come in the order you pick, you win. The finishing order for that race was indeed 4-6-8 and if I had bet like I thought about doing, I would have won over $600.00.

And for the rest of the night, if I picked horses out of the program (the expected winners) I didnt do very good. But if I waited until the last minute when the horses come out on the track, I usually won money. Though, I didn't even break even.... -.- Oh well, it wasn't my money, it was only $10 and now I have a strategy for Friday night when I go with Dessa.

Plus, on the 28th, the Casino at The Downs opens. -dances for joy-

Edit:

pyrowinter's LJ stalker is spiritus!

spiritus is stalking you because you got better results for the 'acronym' thing than them.
so, the drama of this morning is 'like so 5 minutes ago'

Why does the best DDR song of all, have the crappiest steps? At least with this version you can make your own steps!

Just when I think I'm winning
When I've broken every door
The ghosts of my life
Are louder than before

Just when I thought I could not be stopped
When my chance came true
The ghosts of my life
They bring up memories

All my time, all my tears
"Ghosts" - Dance Dance Revolution

Also, who votes that they should make a version of DDR where you can input your own music and do steps?
So, I've decided that I'm going to try my hardest to give up meat. I doubt I'll be able to give it up completely (because chicken and turkey are like two of my ultimate favorite things). It will take getting used to, and may be super hard, because I'm thinking of giving up soda too. At the same time, it will be hell. But its something I gotta do for me. Soda isn't that good for you, and I just love animals too much.

Animals are Americans too. And I think that if I can legally raise a cow for the sole purpose of killing and eating it, I should be able to do it with any other animal as well (i.e. cat, dog, etc) with no legal consequences. Yeah, I know this view is really messed up, but you can blame it on the fact that if I had the choice of pet, I would pick a cow over both a dog or cat. -shrug-

I'm thinking about getting one of the PETA shirts that says "Animals are American's too". I don't agree with all of the things that PETA does, but they do have quite a few valid points.

So.. I havent really spoken about the Nerf war which has been going on for a while upstairs. Everyone has Nerf Mavrick REV-5 6-shot dart guns that they shoot at each other.

Well, I am currently the owner of the following:
1 Nerf N-Strike Firefly (8 round, single shot)
1 Nerf Maverick REV-5 (6 round, single shot)
1 Nerf Tech-10 (10 round, single shot)
1 Nerf Nightfinder (1 round, single shot, laser site)
and, the best of all:
1 Nerf Wildfire (20 round, machine gun style (10 darts/sec avg))

Prepare to be pwned nerf dudes!

For the record, I only actually bought the Firefly and Wildfire =P

Now for something I hate. Everyone knows that the G5 at work is the best computer there. for web design its really convienient because of the dual screens. All the computers have Photoshop CS2 on them though, and the G4s work just fine. I'm told that on wed/fri I cant use the G5 because one of the boys needs it.. ONLY to use PS. Then he comes in, and goes to sleep in front of the computer. If I could kill him and get away with it. i totally would. If he was actually doing work, I'd have no problem with it, but hes just sitting there and dozing off to sleep. GAH!

Know what I love? When people come into work and I'm on the Mac G5. There are two G4's in the office, which both work perfectly fine. It just appears that since the G4's arent the powerhouses and don't have dual screens, they can't seem to do work on them. So they just browse the internet the whole time that they're supposed to be working. Sometims I feel like emailing my boss about it, but I'm not a tattle tale.

But its funny that I can always seem to do work on ANY of the computers. IDIOTS! Thats why you upload all your work to a secret folder before you leave work for the day! Thay way, if you come back in and the computer you were working on is taken, you can still get to what you were doing and can work from any computer!

Ugh! I hate stupid people.

I have a couple of ideas, and I'm looking for anyone (or anyone who knows someone) who might be interested in becoming penpals of either of these sorts:

#1 Sending pictures (poloroid or otherwise) with small captions (very much like postmarks)

#2 Sending decorated index cards (which could be decorated in any manner the writer can imagine)

#3 Sending a notebook back and forth where you write/draw/etc on a few pages and then send it out again (could be done with more than 2 people)

Note: With the possible exception of #3, for these ideas to work properly, both participants must be in different countries (preferably different continents), so whomever might want to do this with me would ideally live outside of the USA and not on the North American continent.
Note 2: Also know that none of these ideas actually include writing actual penpal letters. #3 would be more letter-ish, but shouldnt be letters back and forth.

If you (or anyone you know) might be interested, just let me know!

For once I just want to be able to feel like I have control over my body and what gets done to/with it. My plans for Fishbowl/Pimpin Purple/Atomic Pink layered hair has been shot out of the water. I'm not allowed to put even the tinyest hint of color in my hair at all. The consequence of doing this anyway you ask? Being tossed out on my butt by my mom. Unless I support myself 100% on my own, I'm not allowed to do ANYTHING else to my hair without her permission.

So, no hair colors/more piercings/tattoos until I'm out of college and on my own, at which time I doubt I'll want them anymore.

As of ...soon gifted-idiot and neverlasting will be no more.

Why am I giving up on web design you ask? Why am I giving up my domains? Well, as for web design, I'm not giving up, I'm just ready to do something different (more information to come later), and my domains, well, I tried to do too much too soon, and I don't need two domains. Yet, I cant decide on one to keep, and one to get rid of. I may just keep gifted-idiot, because I love it. But EVERYTHING will be a different soon

-.-
